Can’t Miss Digital Notebook Tools

October 19, 2008

A little over a month ago, the fine folks over at mashable.com (one of a handful of blogs that inspired technotorious), discussed their 12 favorite “Notebook 2.0″ tools for researchers. Potential users for these handy tools include college students, journalists, researchers — virtually anyone looking to harness the power of the interwebs for research purposes.

“Notebook 2.0,” I’ve since learned, is a digital notebook useful for capturing almost any file, video, image or virtually any other e-resource for later reference. Such a tool offers numerous benefits to anyone conducting online research, particularly by eliminating the need to create clutter in one’s bookmark folder.

The tools covered at mashable.com include web-based resources as well as browser add-ons and expansions. Regardless of which tool or tools a new-school researcher settles upon, a digital notebook is certainly a welcome addition to any information-hungry inquirer’s repository.
