Should I ever find myself lacking for photos of pillows, dog treats, my cat’s hindquarters or my knees, then I know a certain Golden Retriever who’s totally getting one of these.

As often as commitments will allow in the technotorious household, we relish each and every weekend. Sundays in particular are usually dedicated to taking time to celebrate and appreciate life as we know it, which could include anything from dinner with loved ones to Titans football.

All this is to say that, on most Sundays at technotorious.org, blogging is likely to take a backseat to other priorities, activities and interests.

In recent years, your friendly neighborhood blogger’s list of interests has grown to include digital photography. I should immediately add that I’m no professional. I suppose I’d best be classified as a guy who likes to take pictures, almost an amateur but not quite. I’ve picked up a few pointers here and there via the Flickr community and Photojojo, and I have benefited from working alongside talented photojournalists and photographers. Largely, though, I just enjoy toying around with my run-of-the-mill, low-budget, point-and-shoot camera. Digital photography and the interwebs have done wonders for those like me.

And so, Monday Eve will be set aside for a recurring technotorious feature known as the “Sunday Slide.” Each week, I’ll keep the chatter to a minimum while showcasing a personal favorite photo from the boundless Flickr talent pool. For opening Sunday, though, I’ll kick things off with a celebratory Halloween-time photo from my own humble photostream: (Sunday Slides to come will include a link to the featured photographer’s Flickr profile).
