I have written instructions for my mom to upload her pictures. "Step 1: Turn on the computer; Step 2: Plug the camera into the "computer"...Step 101: Click the "red X"." You get the idea. She follows them faithfully, and she manages the upload. I do occasionally get frantic phone calls when she gets the steps out of order. It is never good when I hear, "Are you busy? I'm not sure what I did, but..." A friend of mine got a phone call from her mother, who was totally freaked out because there was a blinking "I" on the screen that would not go away. The mom was certain they had a virus and the computer was toast. Turns out...it was the freakin' cursor! Glad I am not the FHDT for that family! Yep…sounds very familiar to me, too.
